Summary:
Join Northern Trusts growing ETF team as an ETF Settlements Oversight Specialist where youll play a key role in advancing our North American ETF Services.
In this role youll oversee the full ETF settlement lifecycle ensuring accurate and timely processing of creations and redemptions. Youll maintain strong operational controls optimize workflows and support continuous improvement.
As the main contact for Authorized Participants (AP) and ETF issuers youll provide expert guidance and help clients navigate market entry and expansion. Success requires a sharp focus on risk management compliance and operational excellence.
Major Duties:
Oversee ETF settlement processes and collateral facilitation for ETF issuer clients
Address and resolve inquiries from clients and Aps related to settlement and collateral activities
Serve as subject matter expert on North American ETF settlement and collateral management strategy
Evaluate current and proposed systems and procedures to define technical business requirements and coordinate implementation with IT and operations
Establish and enforce ETF-specific controls and procedures to ensure operational integrity
Create and maintain internal and external service level documentation including performance measurement and reporting methods
Provide consultative support to ETF clients and prospects exploring market entry or expansion
Skills & Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience required
Significant hands-on experience in ETF settlements and collateral management within financial services
Deep product and operational knowledge of ETFs especially creation/redemption and settlement lifecycle
Strong understanding of the connections between internal and external parties involved in ETF order processing
Proven ability to drive efficiency and productivity through performance metrics and process improvements
Strong process orientation with the ability to leverage operations and technology to support ETF servicing expansion
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly adaptable to change and capable of navigating complex operational environments
Advanced technical and systems knowledge
Experience in global and domestic custody operations and sub-custody network management
Demonstrated leadership in large-scale change management initiatives
Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across Northern Trust and influence at senior levels
