Job PurposeRiver Hospital Cardiac Ultrasound Technicians are responsible for preparing patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures. They will also explain procedures to patients help the physicians interpret the data from the images and determines which images should be saved or should be discarded. Echo technicians may also be responsible for ensuring that records are kept properly.
Qualifications- Associates degree in Allied Health or 2 year equivalent (equal or related)
- BS or BA preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience required
- Certification: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Must maintain continuing education credits as outlined by certification
