Job Description
Mechanical Assembler
Our client a leading contract manufacturing company based in Southern New Jersey is currently looking to fill multiple Mechanical Assembler positions due to growth.
Requirements:
*Read and interpret technical drawings blueprints schematics and work orders.
*Assemble mechanical parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools and power tools (e.g. screwdrivers drills presses rivets)
*Perform quality checks using measuring tools (e.g. calipers micrometers) to confirm fit alignment and functionality.
*Identify report and where possible correct assembly defects or machinery malfunctions.
*Maintain tools equipment and the work area in clean safe and organized condition.
*Collaborate with engineers quality control and production teams to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.
Responsibilities:
*Mechanical aptitude with proven experience using hand tools and basic power tools.
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
*Attention to detail manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle repetitive assembly tasks.
*Experience in manufacturing automotive aerospace or similar industries.
*Familiarity with quality control standards (e.g. ISO IPC) safety regulations or continuous improvement methods (e.g. lean)
