We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Project Manager.
Role Purpose:
Digital Business Automation (DBA) is a global platform within the Chief Technology Office comprising approximately 300 staff across multiple geographies. We define and implement the technology strategy for critical services across the organisation ensuring availability recoverability and security.
As a Project Manager you will oversee and manage IT projects ensuring they align with business objectives and HSBCs strategic goals. Reporting into the Portfolio Lead you will be responsible for the technical delivery management of 13 projects (depending on funding) while working alongside PMOs and engineering teams.
This role requires strong technical project delivery expertise hands-on use of HSBC governance frameworks and excellent stakeholder management.

In this role you will:
Manage the end-to-end delivery of technology projects within a complex enterprise environment
Define project scope expected outcomes and timelines in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders
Apply the HSBC Change Framework (HCF) to ensure compliance with governance controls and reporting.
Manage project risks issues and dependencies providing clear escalation and resolution paths
Deliver concise accurate reporting using Clarity PPM and Jira.
Support financial tracking and cost modelling using GDPM (Global Delivery Project Management).
Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and achieve forecasted benefits.
Lead and coordinate engineering resources driving accountability for delivery milestones.
Manage stakeholder expectations around project status deliverables and forecasts.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
Proven experience leading large-scale IT projects in an enterprise or financial services environment.
Strong background in technical project delivery management within a regulated organisation.
Proficiency in using Clarity PPM and Jira for reporting and portfolio management.
Hands-on experience with Change Framework and GDPM cost modelling.
Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present effectively to senior stakeholders.
Experience managing IT budgets including business case development for future funding.
Desirable
Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) and/or Workload Automation tooling.
Previous exposure to Digital Business Automation platforms.
This role is based in Sheffield or Birmingham Hybrid .
