What You Will Do
- Act as a key interface with across functional teams for key components selection in the NPI phase; identify the needs for re-design and leads the efforts.
- Develop and execute Harman commodity sourcing strategy based on business needs supply base performance market situation/trends new technologies etc.
- Stay on top of the market and industry trends and provide intelligence to the organization
- Lead special procurement programs to improve procurement process and result
- Establish consistent commercial terms/conditions
- Execute effective supplier negotiations and event driven cost reductions to meet annual cost reduction goals
- Build appropriate senior level supplier relationships
- Drive supplier rationalization strategy to maximize category leverage
- Manage the bid and quote process in NPI execution
- Establish goals improvement plans business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility
- Work with Supply Chain Sourcing and Value Engineering teams to identify potential efficiency improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
What You Need
- Bachelors or Masters Degree. 8 years of procurement experience
- Proven leadership interpersonal communication and influence skills
- Strong analytical skill
- Proven ability to lead and achieve cost quality and time-to-market commitments
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
- Strong presentation and writing skills
- Ability to speak clearly and express opinions well in groups and in one-to-one conversations
What is Nice to Have
- Excellent bilingual ability in Chinese and English verbal and written
- Customer focus with urgency responsiveness and initiative to action
- Data and fact driven with strong analytical skills
- Results driven and strives to meeting or exceeding goals and objectives
- Strong team player and builds trust and confidence with internal teams and suppliers
- Knowledge about the audio industry and market is preferred
