About the role
Here in the Southern region we are dedicated to helping you deepen your knowledge and understanding of midwifery. We offer a comprehensive 12-month programme 32 hours (0.8FTE) per week with the flexibility of 0.6 FTE being considered. Successful applicants will begin their role anytime from December 2024 onwards.
As a new graduate in yourMidwifery First Year of Practice you will gain experience across a range of options including (but not exhaustive):
Our Director of Midwifery Midwife Managers Educators Clinical Coaches and midwives will support you through your journey in caring for our whnau. We provide a comprehensive and flexible orientation package. We are a close knit creative and passionate community of midwives. Collegiality and values are important to us.

Salary range
This role falls under the terms and conditions of the MERAS Midwives Collective Agreement (1 February 2024 30 April 2025) Registered (Core) Midwives Salary Scale Step 2 ($82642) per annumpro rata.
