Main purpose of the role:
Simmons Adaptive are currently seeking an experienced IP Specialist Lawyer to join our client. As an IP Specialist Lawyer you will play a crucial role in managing and advising on trademark-related matters. Your expertise in trademark clearance enforcement and prosecution will be essential in delivering high-quality legal services to Simmons & Simmons clients. Our client is a global technology leader in digital payments and financial services.
Key duties include:
Conduct comprehensive trademark clearance searches and provide strategic advice on trademark availability and registration.
Manage trademark enforcement actions including opposition proceedings infringement disputes and negotiation of settlements.
Oversee trademark prosecution processes including filing applications responding to office actions and maintaining trademark portfolios.
Advise clients on trademark strategy including brand protection and risk management.
Collaborate with international teams to coordinate cross-border trademark matters.
Stay updated on the latest developments in trademark law and provide insights to clients and colleagues.
Draft and review legal documents related to trademark matters ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships delivering exceptional service and support.
Person specification:
You are a qualified lawyer with a specialisation in intellectual property law.
You are fluent in Mandarin and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You have proven experience in managing trademark clearance enforcement and prosecution.
You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
You have ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
You have excellent organisational and time management skills.
You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
