About the Program

NO MORE is a Northern Territory wide Aboriginal initiative that works with the community to develop local responses to reduce the incidence of domestic and family violence (DFV). This is achieved by raising awareness educating and mobilising individuals groups and communities to change attitudes and behaviours towards women and children.

NO MORE aims to reduce DFV through developing supportive cultures in sporting organisations workplaces organisations and communities as well as build community capacity establish mens groups provide DFV awareness education and refer men who use violence in their relationships to
support services including mens behaviour change programs counselling and other support services.

NO MORE works with the whole community initially targeting the men who want to champion the change of attitudes and behaviours towards women and children then working with all those in the community who seek change including women Aboriginal and other service provider organisations government and local businesses.

A NO MORE Community Engagement Worker plays a vital role in engaging sporting clubs workplaces and communities to develop local strategies for preventing domestic and family violence. This role is focused on building relationships fostering cultural change and supporting communities in developing Domestic Violence Action Plans (D-VAPs).

Community Engagement Workers deliver education and awareness sessions connect organisations with support services and empower community leaders to take action against violence. They work closely with local stakeholders ensuring that prevention strategies are culturally appropriate trauma-informed and community-driven.
