Salary:
PLNU pays its faculty using a payscale based on experience and academic rank. Faculty salaries using this scale for a 3-semester appointment range from $87210 to $142678. The actual salary will be based on the experience rank and appointment term of the candidate selected to fill this position.
Job Description:
The Anatomy Learning Institute (ALI) within the College of Health Sciences is seeking candidates for a full-time tenure-track faculty position. The ALI has a strong commitment to excellence in teaching where faculty members are expected to contribute to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in medical andanatomical subdisciplines (Gross Anatomy Neuroanatomy Embryology and Histology) with an emphasis on hands-on human body donor dissection. Faculty members are also expected to maintain an ongoing research agenda in their area of expertise. Moreover candidates are expected to contribute to other administrative responsibilities within the Anatomy Learning Institute such as leading academic programs overseeing anatomy facilities or organizing outreach initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in medical and anatomical subdisciplines (Gross Anatomy Neuroanatomy Embryology and Histology) in a dissection-based curriculum
Conduct ongoing research or scholarly activity related to anatomy health sciences education or a related field
Advise students academically spiritually and socially in a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
Contribute to the recruitment retention and preparation of student workers staff and faculty in the ALI
Contribute service at the institute college and university levels and within their professional pathways
Engage in other activities as assigned by the supervisor such as admin responsibilities ( e.g. leading academic programs overseeing anatomy facilities etc.) and outreach activities.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D in medical/anatomical sciences or other health-related degree with a strong background in anatomy
Evidence of excellence in (undergraduate/graduate) teaching along with human body donor dissection experience or commitment to learning.
Evidence of ongoing professional activity and scholarship.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills are required including evidence of an ongoing commitment to diversity equity and inclusion.
Evidence of Christian commitment and active church addition faculty agree to live in agreement with PLNUs Community Life Covenant.
The job offer is contingent on the successful completion of a background check. PLNU will consider qualified applicants including those with criminal histories in a manner consistent with state and local Fair Chance laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing delivering and assessing online courses including a demonstrated ability to engage and support students in a virtual environment.
Experience teaching a clinical anatomy curriculum including competency in use of ultrasound as a teaching tool among other modalities.
