We are seeking anInformation Technology Project Managerto join our team supporting an important US government agency in the National Capital is an exciting opportunity to work with a team that engineers and implements upgrades and modernization of critical IT systems and applications.
This role requires on-site work in Washington D.C. 3 days per week.
The customer manages and maintains a roadmap of IT infrastructure projects and upgrades that are prioritized and assigned to SAIC for execution. Major projects include Azure migrations RedHat (RHEL) and Windows Server and Desktop operating system upgrades Oracle Database and Middleware Upgrades ZTA implementation NetBackup Modernization Mobile Device Refresh Resiliency Implementation and more. These are a few examples of the important projects for which the project manager in this position would be responsible for leading and managing.
Project managers provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams comprised of systems engineers test engineers systems administrators database administrators federal project sponsors and others. Project managers are responsible for scope schedule and quality performance of IT project teams. Responsibilities also include conducting Agile ceremonies managing scope coordinating stakeholder participation assessing and mitigating risks reporting progress against plan collecting lessons learned and delivering executive presentations.
