The Role
As a Bar & Concession Cashier you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests serving food and beverages at various locations throughout the farm and ensuring a pleasant and memorable experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests and take orders for food and beverages including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and accurately enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system or write them down manually.
Prepare and serve beverages including Saunders Cider wine beer and cocktails as well as non-alcoholic beverages.
Serve food and clear tables ensuring that the space is clean and well-maintained.
Follow all health and safety regulations and standards including proper handling and storage of food and beverages.
Operate point-of-sale systems and handle payments from guests.
Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure that events run smoothly and efficiently.
Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
Provide recommendations and suggestions to guests for food and beverage selections with a strong focus on Saunders Cider sales.
Uphold a high level of cleanliness and organization in the space and behind the bar.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
To be successful in this role you will need:
SmartServe is required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment is an asset.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of guests and staff.
Knowledge of a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is an asset.
Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licenses and certifications.
