About the opportunity
We are an Aged Care Facility located in Roxburgh Parkwith a great work ethic a can do attitude and a focus on delivering quality workmanship whilst interacting with our residents.
Shift :Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.
You will work with a wonderful team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents enjoyment of their life every day.
You will be supported and mentored to ensure you thrive in your role with us. Moran offers a rewarding work environment consisting of modern facilities and equipment and supports individuals to further develop their skills.
Key responsibilities:
The Maintenance officer / Handy personis responsible for routine maintenance activities inside and outside the home and the Preventative Maintenance Schedule which covers equipment building fixtures and fittings and some gardens.
- Perform maintenance tasks Reactive & Preventative Maintenance Schedule
- Maintain records using established systems and processes
- Receive deliveries and manage bulk storeroom
- Maintain the grounds of the home
Skills/Requirements:
- Experience in general handy work touch up painting gardening such as weeding mowing lawns basic plumbing cleaning and preventive work for resident rooms and common areas
- The ability to work unsupervised at times
- Daily physical work
- Good communication skills both verbal and writing
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Attention to detail
- Must be a team player and liaise with others in the team when there is a problem
- Must be an Australian resident with a Working with Vulnerable People Police check
- Whilst not compulsory drivers licence is preferred
