Job Description

Seeking a part-time Athletic Intern for the schools athletic program for the 2025-2026 school year at Liberty Common High School in Fort Collins Colorado a Poudre School District charter school. LCHS is Northern Colorados clearest path to college delivering a college-preparatory classically-oriented liberal-arts curriculum in a small-school environment. The school currently enrolls approximately 1450 students in grades K-12 and competes at the 3A level in CHSAA as a member of the Patriot League.

The Athletic Intern reports directly to the Athletic Director and has the primary responsibility for assisting in the planning scheduling and coordination for junior-high and high-school student-athletes in cooperation with the schools Athletic Director and coaching staff. Applicants should be dedicated to providing the best student-athlete experience while also creating a welcoming game-day experience for opposing teams and fans. The successful candidate will be committed to the mission and goals of Liberty Common High School and follow all CHSAA procedures and policies.

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Stipend Exempt

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular Part-time

WORK HOURS: Varies

PAY RANGE: $3000

REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics

REVISION DATE: August 2025

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma: associates degree or greater is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience with administrative or clerical duties office management and general computer competency.
  • Experience working with K-12 students preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Scheduling banquets transportation game confirmations and other athletic administrative requirements
  • Communicating and scheduling with parents athletes coaches and faculty
  • Tracking invoices purchase requests and budgeted expenditures
  • Managing registration and payment procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience scheduling planning and coordinating activities for a wide range of constituents.
  • A proven verifiable record of placing appropriate emphasis on academic excellence good sportsmanship and character development.
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes parents coaches and administration.
  • Full background check required for hire.
  • CPR and first aid certified or able to obtain upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to move safely in athletic workspaces.
  • The ability to lift 30 pounds or more when needed.

Compensation:

  • Enrollment in Colorados Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) and employer contributions to your PERA retirement account.
  • Earned sick leave in accordance with Colorados Healthy Families and Workplaces (HFWA) Act.
