About the Position
We are looking for an Accounting Policy Specialist to join our Hong Kong team and support our local and global accounting operations.
In this role youll work closely with colleagues across our global offices to analyse the implementation of accounting standards where the firm operates and drive the ongoing development and enhancement of our global accounting policies. Youll apply US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other applicable standards taking into account the business environment market practices and the nature of our operations.

Your industry expertise will be valuable as we collaborate with outside auditors and advisors on accounting policy matters.
About You
- Bachelors degree in accounting business or a related field
- 12 years of experience in technical accounting policy within financial services and/or public accounting (in professional practice or accounting advisory)
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS and a comprehensive understanding of financial statements and legal entity reporting (knowledge of GAAPs in additional jurisdictions such as the UK is a plus)
- Experience in researching and interpreting complex accounting literature with a strong background in drafting policy documents and preparing technical accounting analyses
- Prior work in the finance industry and an understanding of the regulatory environment is preferred
- Organised and a clear communicator; able to build strong collaborative relationships across teams
- Excellent time management skills; comfortable handling competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical and detail-oriented with a positive approach to problem solving
- Self-motivated to improve processes where possible
- Relevant accounting qualifications required
- Fluency in English required
