The Opportunity:
We are looking to appoint a postdoctoral researcher to support in the Eating Disorders and Behaviours Group at the University of Edinburgh. Specifically the post will contribute to two Medical Research Foundation funded projects: developing resources for clinicians working with patients with eating disorders living in food insecurity; and developing guidelines for adaptations for Eating Disorders focused Family Therapy (FT-ED) for autistic young people and their families.
This post is part time (28 hours per week) for 12 months. We are also open to a split post with two post holders (14 hours per week each). We will consider requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and on-campus working.
Please note the salary for this post is Grade 7 appointments will be made on spinal point 32-34 (41064 to 43482 per annum pro-rata) due to budgetary restrictions.
Your skills and attributes for success:
PhD in psychology or related discipline in the field of eating disorders
Good understanding of current evidence-based clinical practice for eating disorders
An ability to work effectively with a wide range of colleagues including non-academic stakeholders (third sector lived experience representatives clinicians)
