Job Description

Field Services Manager

As the Field Services Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled service engineers that execute asset maintenance life cycle services and execute small RMR (revisions modifications and retrofit) projects for the North American Airport and Parcel Systems (NA APS) Services team. The Field Services Manager must have a proven track record with managing technicians.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee and schedule the execution of service calls preventive emergency and corrective maintenance

  • Responsible for execution and performance of Field Services scope in respective service contracts

  • Work across all business domains: Airports Warehouse and Distribution

  • Provide leadership direction training and problem resolution for Field Services Team

  • Develop and deliver necessary training programs and quality control for Field Services Team

  • Be the technical liaison between customers and internal stakeholders

  • Coordinate resources necessary to implement services successfully

  • Promote accident-free workplace principles. Ensure Field Services Team is compliant with all Vanderlande safety programs and requirements. Show leadership in promoting safety

  • Responsible for financial performance of FSE department and overall impact on the company. Coordinate financial reporting and accountability for service projects

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required preferably technical or business

  • 5 years experience within engineering manufacturing material handling or technology industry

  • 2 years experience in a managerial role preferably remote management

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Experience managing department budget

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years in material handing industry

  • Continuous Improvement/Lean Six Sigma experience or certification

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:

  • Efficient computer skills with MS Office applications

  • Able to lead through remote management

  • Ability to influence at senior management and individual contributor level

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Customer oriented

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time exempt position. 24/7 operation. Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

Travel:

Willing to travel domestically 25% of the time with some international travel.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has supervisory responsibilities.
