Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of negotiation coordination and execution of local catering events to maximize revenue opportunities.
Handle incoming leads conduct site inspections and actively convert business opportunities through sales calls client entertainment and prospecting.
Work closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Events to develop and implement proactive sales and marketing strategies.
Oversee event operations ensuring seamless communication with all internal departments and providing timely accurate information.
Maintain high-quality service standards supporting clients before during and after events.
Monitor market trends competitor activities and contribute new ideas to enhance event offerings.
Support hotel-wide initiatives such as Signature Events and Signature Weddings.
Ensure compliance with hotel standards policies and guiding principles including safety hygiene and sustainability practices.
Requirements
Degree holder with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of catering/event sales with a proven ability to achieve revenue goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (additional languages are an advantage).
Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
A team player with leadership qualities and the ability to handle a team.
Computer literate with knowledge of event systems and reporting.
Positive role model self-starter and willing to work long or flexible hours when required.
