Job Title: Beekeeping Field Operations Supervisor

Reporting to the Head of Operations the Beekeeping Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for delivering consistent high-quality service across a portfolio of approximately 150 customers in a defined territory. They oversee both subcontracted and full-time beekeepers ensure that customers receive what was promised and act as the on-the-ground escalation point for operational issues. This is a highly visible role with around 50% of time spent visiting customer sites.
This role is accountable for service quality customer retention cost control and execution at scale. It requires strong coordination with internal teams and the ability to represent Alvole professionally in the field.
What your Key Responsibilities will look like
- Territory Oversight and Service Quality: Manage service delivery for 150 customers ensuring all service components are fulfilled. Oversee subcontracted and full-time beekeepers to ensure service is completed professionally and on time. Conduct in-person site visits (expected 50% of the time) to inspect installations ensure safety standards and build relationships. Monitor operational data in tools such as Zuper and MyHive to track progress identify risks and report results
- Customer Support and Escalations: Serve as the second point of contact for customers when operational issues cannot be resolved by Customer Support. Respond quickly to service problems provide field-level insight and ensure issues are resolved to the customers satisfaction. Act as a trusted partner to internal Customer Support and Dispatch teams ensuring tight handoffs and smooth collaboration
- Service Delivery: Personally deliver workshops for high-priority customers to ensure a high-impact experience. Coordinate the installation of add-ons like sensors. Ensure timely and complete delivery of customer entitlements such as 100 jars of honey. Flag upselling opportunities to the Revenue team and support their execution when relevant.
- Retention and Customer Success: Build trust and familiarity with customers through professional reliable service delivery. Own service quality-related retention metrics and contribute directly to customer renewals. Work closely with Revenues Account Managers especially on top-tier clients to ensure alignment and shared accountability
- Field Team Supervision: Support and hold accountable subcontracted and FTE beekeepers. Ensure beekeepers represent Alvole well on-site follow all safety and service protocols and complete work to Alvoles standards. Take proactive steps to address performance issues capacity gaps or quality concerns in the field
How success will be measured in this role
- Renewal and churn rates in assigned territory
- Timely delivery of key customer entitlements (e.g. 100 jars sensors workshops)
- Subcontractor and FTE performance and reliability
- Escalation resolution speed and quality
- Field data accuracy and operational reporting compliance
- Territory-level service costs staying within budget
We are a match if you are
- Willing and able to travel regularly and work on customer sites (approximately 50% of the time)
- You have some hands-on beekeeping experience - even at a basic level - to understand on-site realities and feel comfortable managing a few hives during visits.
- Customer-focused and highly organized with experience in service delivery or operations
- Comfortable managing external partners and internal staff with empathy and accountability
- Excellent communicator with the confidence to represent Alvole in the field
- Problem-solver who thrives on making things work smoothly for customers
- Familiar with operational tools (e.g. dispatching software field data systems)
Nice to Haves we are going to look at
- Experience managing field-based subcontractors or vendor partners
- Background in sustainability education hospitality or agriculture
- Confidence in public speaking or workshop delivery
- English fluency
