Summary of position:
As an APD Supervisor 2 you will supervise Administration support Case managers Transition coordinators AFH licensing and or Adult Protective workers for program benefits such as SNAP Benefits (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) Medical and community-based service and long-term care for the care of the disabled and senior population.
Program Management: Provides full time direct supervision/guidance to the following teams: Case Management in Bend.
Provide Back-up supervision to:
Case Management (Redmond Prineville Madras La Pine)
Administration Support (Bend Redmond Prineville Madras La Pine)
Adult Foster Home (AFH) Licensing (district wide)
Adult Protect Service Specialist (district wide)
Transition Coordinators (district wide)
Communicates the importance of diversity in staff meetings and diversity discussions in communications with staff:
Gains necessary skills and attends required training to participate in the development and implementation of a policy that fosters cultural competency and multi-cultural organizational development.
Sets clear guidelines for behaviors and clear methods for reporting inappropriate behaviors.
Provides opportunities for staff to participate in diversity training and multi-cultural events.
Staff Development:
Shares knowledge of staffs responsibilities and expectations; provides information about the agency and its purposes roles and mission; information about their opportunities and rights; shares the interrelation of specific job to the whole and their opportunity for development and advancement.
Facilitates the planning and implementation of training for staff on issues that are identified by assessment of branch indicators and/or feedback from lead workers and staff.
Community Relations:
Participates in community meetings that will directly enhance the services that the agency provides to clients.
Minimum Qualifications
Four years of lead work supervision or progressively related experience to the class concept; OR one year of related experience and a bachelors degree in a related field.

Working Conditions
Your work will be conducted in offices participants homes and other community sites.
Occasional travel is required for attending meetings trainings and other public events. Travel is required and the employee must have a valid drivers license from the state in which they reside.
This position may require occasional overnight travel.
Some travel may be in hazardous weather conditions.
Employee will work a flexible schedule; hours of work may fluctuate based on service needs. Occasional non-traditional hours may be required including evening and weekend work.
In this role you will encounter sensitive material related to trauma abuse substance use and crisis situations. Our team prioritizes a trauma-informed approach creating a safe environment for both clients and staff.
You will interact with a diverse range of individuals including those who have experienced trauma and may struggle with emotional regulation. This position may involve handling stressful situations that demand rapid decision-making skills.
