Job Description
The NFL Network Real-Time Graphics Department is seeking a Real-Time Artist to support our live studio and digital productions including Good Morning Football GameDay GameCenter Redzone International Games and much more. This is an opportunity for a creative and technically savvy individual to contribute to high-profile broadcasts in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
The Real-Time Artist will work closely with Graphics and Production teams to develop and test provided designs using Viz Artist Viz Trio and custom applications ensuring smooth and accurate execution during live broadcasts.
This is a unique opportunity to deepen your real-time graphics skills in a live broadcast environment working alongside experienced professionals and cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop insert graphics packages for use in live broadcasts and studio productions ensuring high visual impact and brand consistency
- Create customized video wall graphics packages tailored for various show formats and production needs
- Build and maintain data-driven graphics that dynamically visualize real-time stats scores and other relevant data sources
- Produce Libero packages to support in-depth sports analysis and editorial storytelling
- Provide daily and weekend production support for live and pre-recorded shows including on-the-fly graphic adjustments and troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot and support touchscreen and interactive display systems to ensure seamless on-air performance
- Manage Graphics Hub (GH) assets including archiving de-archiving routine cleanup and quality control of vendor-delivered archives
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for workflows templates systems and procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing
- Create update and maintain company logos for various uses across platforms and productions
- Oversee ongoing management of touchscreen and interactive systems including routine testing and technical coordination
- Provide remote graphics and technical support to production teams across different locations and time zones
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in live television broadcast production (preferably in sports).
- Advanced knowledge of Viz Artist including transition logic datapool animation 2D and 3D graphics.
- Advanced knowledge of Viz Trio including creating combo templates importing/exporting shows assigning scripts setting up profiles flying to preview and engine and general troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative suite especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Knowledge of AfterEffects is a strong plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Viz Libero including building graphics and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Viz scripting custom plugins and interactive applications.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing particularly Cinema 4D.
- Remote broadcast production experience a plus.
Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
- Availability to work some nights and weekends.
Salary / Pay Range
This job posting contains a pay range which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes in good faith at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances where an external candidate has experience credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Salary
$90000 - $125000 USD
At the NFL in-person work at our offices is a top priority because it allows us to collaborate more effectively build stronger connections and maintain the culture that drives our success. This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
