IT Intern: Support IT Department with daily duties.
Job Type: Fall Intern
Workplace Type: Hybrid: Flex for your day in person
Office Location: Gaithersburg MD
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: Flexible around school schedule 10 15 hours per week
Essential Duties:
- Refurbish used computers and servers for future use reconfigure video distribution system
- Imaging laptops for initial use
- Computer entry support for projects
- Inventory IT stockroom
- Handle some end-user break/fix problems
- Manage and report on any assigned projects
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma currently pursuing a degree in IT and/or interested in the field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred general IT knowledge
- Familiar with computer hardware and software technically savvy
- Energetic positive can-do attitude self-motivated takes initiative to problem solve
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Detail-oriented high sense of urgency minimal supervision needed
- IT career-oriented
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in standard office environment
