Job Description

Summary
The Packaging Mechanic diagnoses packaging equipment problems repairs minor and major breakdown of high-speed packaging equipment sets up and installs all packaging equipment performs preventative maintenance items improves line efficiencies and ensures all equipment is in safe working condition.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining and repairing packaging equipment including conveyors sealers wrappers and labeling machines.
Troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow.
Performing preventive maintenanceaccording to schedules to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
Adjusting machinery settingsto accommodate different packaging formats or product specifications.
Collaborating with production teamsto meet packaging goals and ensure product quality.
Documenting maintenance activitiesand equipment performance.
Typical Education
Relevant Experience
Other Information
- Good knowledge of Computer Systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical pneumatic hydraulic electrical and electronic Systems.
- Excellent oral written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks be flexible and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment.
