SUMMARY
The Seasonal Assistant supports the Cultural Center team with administrative tasks event operations
technical support and social media engagement. This position involves a mix of behind-the-scenes
planning and hands-on support during events to deliver outstanding experiences for members and
guests.
SPECIFIC DUTIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- Assists with processing ticket orders seating arrangements and dining reservations by
accurately entering requests updating the system and helping prepare seating charts. - Supports communications by confirming reservations and special requests via phone email and
in-person ensuring accuracy and a friendly professional touch. - Helps coordinate catering banquet and set-up teams by relaying event details special requests
and updates to keep everyone aligned. - Prepares and organizes event materials such as tickets confirmations and will-call lists for easy
pickup. - Maintains accurate ticketing and reservation records including processing exchanges or refunds
and supporting sales report reconciliation. - Provides backstage and performer assistance such as preparing dressing rooms arranging
hospitality and helping with last-minute needs. - Assists with marketing and promotion efforts by capturing photos/videos posting content and
helping implement strategies to boost event visibility. - Provides hands-on technical support for events including helping with movie projection
equipment and assisting with AV setup and breakdown. - Supports library operations with checkouts restocking displays and programs.
- Greets and assists guests at events manages registrations and helps with both setup and
cleanup. - Assists with museum and archival projects helping preserve and organize Ocean Reef historical
records. - Performs additional duties as assigned by the Cultural Center President.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform duties in both office environments and active on-site event settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ticketing software and social media experience a plus.
- Willingness to work evenings weekends and holidays.
- Ability to read write and speak English and to communicate effectively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCED
High school diploma or equivalent is required. An Associates Degree from an accredited College or
University is preferred.
Experience
One (1) year of general work experience preferred.
