Performs various patient care activities and related services in caring for the needs and comfort of patients under the direction of the physician mid-level provider or RN. CMA/MA duties include (but are not limited to): obtaining basic assessment information including vital signs EKGs and point of care test; advocating for patients; administering prescribed medications preparing exam rooms procedure room and assisting providers; documenting in the EMR according to TSH policy and procedures.
Education and Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent is required. Must have graduated from or be about to complete a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
Licensures/ Certifications:
Washington State Medical Assistant - Certified.
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification card on hire or within orientation period.

Skills and Abilities:
Computer skills medical terminology and experience with office assessments necessary.
