Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team specializing in the implementation management and optimization of data pipelines using Smarsh tools.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration automation and security protocols along with hands-on experience with XML SMTP Excel and SFTP.
Responsibilities:
Develop maintain and optimize data pipelines and workflows utilizing Smarsh tools for archiving compliance and monitoring.
Integrate diverse data sources including XML files email data via SMTP and SFTP transfers.
Automate data ingestion processes and ensure the timely and accurate transfer of data.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
Manage and troubleshoot data-related issues ensuring data integrity and security.
Leverage Excel and other data tools for data analysis reporting and validation.
Maintain documentation of data processes configurations and workflows.
Ensure compliance with data security policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Hands-on experience with Smarsh archiving and compliance tools.
Proficiency in working with XML SMTP Excel and SFTP protocols.
Strong understanding of data management data integration and ETL processes.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell is a plus.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with other data technologies such as SQL NoSQL databases or data warehouses.
Experience in regulatory/compliance environments.
