Job Description

Job Summary:

The South Carolina DMV seeks an experienced Data/Information Architect to support their system data modernization project. This role involves creating and maintaining data models ensuring data integrity and collaborating with various teams to translate business requirements into effective data models. The architect will work on-site in Columbia SC and must relocate prior to starting.
Location: Blythewood South Carolina United States
Washington District of Columbia United States
Responsibilities:

- Create and update data models and documentation using ERWIN.
- Perform reverse and forward engineering of database structures.
- Provide best practices for data modeling metadata management and documentation.
- Design develop and maintain logical and physical data models using ERwin Data Modeler.
- Ensure database designs support scalability integrity and performance requirements.
- Identify data integrity and consistency issues and provide recommendations.
- Identify and aid with duplicate data resolution.
- Collaborate with data architects DBAs developers and business analysts.
- Manage version control of data models and maintain model repositories.
- Support data governance and compliance initiatives.
- Perform modeling activities for MS SQL databases.
- Provide ORACLE and MS SQL production support as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- 3 years of data modeling experience (e.g. ERWIN).
- 3 years of ORACLE 18/19 DBA and/or SQL SERVERexperience.
- High School Diploma.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- 3 years of experience with backup and restore of databases.
- 3 years of ORACLE GRID (CONTROL) experience.
- ORACLE Certified Associate or other Oracle certification.
Special Considerations:

- 100% on-site work in Columbia SC Monday-Friday.
- Candidate must relocate to SC prior to starting.
Scheduling:
- 40 hours per week.
- Monday - Friday.
