About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer Intern to join the Insights Digitalization & Analytics department. The ideal candidate should be passionate about data and technology and have a strong desire to learn and grow their skills. As a Data Engineer Intern you will work with our team of data engineers to build and maintain the data infrastructure that supports our companys data-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design develop and maintenance of our data pipelines and data warehouses across cloud (Microsoft Azure) and on-premise environments.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to improve the performance and scalability of our data infrastructure and ensure data quality and integrity across the data platform.
- Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines and data architecture.
- Create and optimize interactive dashboards to visualize business metrics.
- Conduct research and provide recommendations on new technologies and tools that can be used to improve the data infrastructure.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Data Science or a related field (specialization in Software Engineering is a plus).
- Knowledge of data warehousing and familiarity with big data platforms cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in Python programming SQL and PowerBI.
- Experience with ETL tools data pipelines and data warehousing.
- Strong data analysis data verification and problem-solving abilities.
- Analytical meticulous and team player.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.
- Self-motivated and possess initiative to learn new skills and technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS services (a plus)
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Hive Spark) and Databricks platform (a plus).
