The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) part of the College of Science was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. We are seeking a highly motivated and hard-working individual to support the lab activities of a plant research laboratory. A candidate with expertise of Arabidopsis genetics plant molecular biology Nicotiana benthamiana transient expression assay and microscopy background is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to various administrative tasks within the lab including but not limited to safety and risk assessment equipment maintenance procurement and other related duties.
Job Requirements
BSc in Biological Sciences or related fields
Prior lab experience in plant genetics plant molecular biology transient expression assay transcriptional regulation protein biochemistry microscopy and plant fatty acid analysis.
Expected to be competent in plant molecular biology plant genetics lipid biochemistry physiology protein biochemistry and Nicotiana benthamiana transient expression techniques.
Expected to be enthusiastic to plant biology research and suitable for teamwork.
