About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Manager (Networking) to lead our on-premise data center infrastructure initiatives. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in IP network setup data center hardware (load balancers routers switches firewalls).
You will be responsible for designing deploying and maintaining scalable secure and resilient network infrastructure to support mission-critical workloads in an on-premise environment. Youll also play a pivotal role in mentoring a team of network and infrastructure engineers while collaborating cross-functionally with security cloud and platform teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the infrastructure engineering team responsible for on-premise data center operations and network engineering.
- Design implement and maintain IP-based network infrastructure across data centers including routers switches firewalls and load balancers.
- Oversee the configuration and lifecycle management of all networking hardware.
- Define and enforce best practices for network security high availability monitoring and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure strategy with product and business goals.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related outages.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture configuration standards and operational procedures.
- Plan and forecast network capacity and infrastructure needs as the business scales.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 8 years of experience in infrastructure or network engineering with 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong expertise in on-premise data center network design and hardware setup including:
- Routers switches firewalls load balancers
- Routing protocols (BGP OSPF etc.) VLANs VPNs and NAT
- Solid understanding of network security principles firewall policies and access control models.
- Experience with network monitoring and performance tools (e.g. Nagios Prometheus Wireshark).
- Familiarity with server hardware and rack-level planning in enterprise data centers.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
