As a member of the Windows Server Support team you will play a key role in supporting managing and administering the Windows Server platform and virtual infrastructure technology. Our small team alongside our Windows Server Engineering team provides support to systems in multiple data centers and dozens of remote office sites around the globe. You will be heavily involved in the day to day support and management of our existing environment with a focus on the Windows Server platform and VMware infrastructure. To fulfill the needs of this specialized team and the organization as a whole the person that fills this role will be a subject matter expert in Windows Server platform with a strong desire to produce outstanding results.
Key Requirements
- Bachelors degree with an IT-related emphasis.
- Minimum 8 years experience supporting and managing virtual infrastructure in a medium to large environment.
- Highly proficient in PowerShell script-writing for the purpose of automating and/or making processes more efficient.
- Project management experience.
- Strong aptitude for analysis and diagnosis of complex technical issues.
- Familiar with ITIL processes; practiced in a professional environment.
- Very good understanding of networking concepts and principles.
- Very good understanding of storage concepts and principles.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Must be self-motivated but also able to take direction and complete projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
- Must be comfortable working as a member of a small team within a large IT department.
