Te kwhiringa The Opportunity

Were looking for a dedicated and detail driven Network Inspector to join our team in Timaru. Youll be part of a high performing transport services team committed to delivering excellence across our civil engineering and maintenance operations.

As a Network Inspector youll play a vital role in ensuring the ongoing quality safety and performance of the road network. Youll lead inspections identify faults and support the execution of effective maintenance strategies. This position is critical in achieving contract outcomes optimising treatment selection and helping Downer meet target returns.

  • Regularly inspect the carriageway and corridor assets both in the field and virtually
  • Identify mark classify and record defects using AWM Mobile AWM HTML or other job management tools
  • Capture full asset/fault details including root cause photos and severity ratings
  • Direct cyclic crews to ensure works are completed efficiently and audit completed work with a focus on quality and safety
  • Ensure data accuracy and adhere to all quality control and as built documentation standards
  • Respond to customer queries and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders

Along with your organised and systematic approach youll have a proven track record in network inspection and fault identification/treatment selection preferably within the maintenance roading industry. You will have the confidence to drive projects manage relationships and activity to achieve targets. Wed also value:

  • Proven experience in network inspection and fault identification in road maintenance or civil infrastructure
  • Familiarity with maintenance intervention strategies and treatment selection
  • Competence using tablets AWM or other job management systems and Go Pro (or similar) devices
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Commitment to a high standard of Health & Safety
  • Must be self-motivated energetic proactive and results-orientated with an ability to problem solve plan listen and make decisions.
