Project Manager
Buller District Council Westport New Zealand
Permanent Full-time 40 Hours per week

Were on the lookout for a Project Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Team at Buller District Council.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity to work on meaningful capital works projects that support the growth and resilience of the Buller district. Youll be part of a forward-thinking and collaborative team where your contributions are valued your development is supported and your wellbeing matters.

What Will You Do Ka aha koe
Key responsibilities will include:


  • Managing project timelines budgets scope and quality outcomes
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Engaging in strategic planning and risk management
  • Ensuring projects align with Council objectives and community needs
  • Communicating progress with clarity and confidence
  • Delivering results that support a better future for the Buller District
  • Collaborating across departments to help foster a positive team culture

Who Are You Ko wai koe
We are looking for someone with:


  • Project management experience within local government
  • A methodical analytical approach and results-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • The ability to handle competing priorities and work to deadlines
  • A collaborative self-starting attitude and team spirit
  • A current NZ Drivers License and the right to work in New Zealand


Desirable:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
  • Resilience under pressure and a solutions-focused mindset

  • Experience writing clear concise reports and delivering presentations
