Our Merchandise team works with supplier partners and store teams on category ranging buying pricing and promotions so we can get the right products on the right shelves at the right time for our customers.
Te Tranga About the role
Were looking for a Category Assistant to support our Bread & Bakery category a dynamic fast-moving area thats central to every Kiwis daily shop.
Youll work closely with 8 key suppliers and manage fewer than 100 SKUs supporting product pricing and promotional admin using SAP and Nielsen data. With 34 days in the office this is a great stepping stone into other categories across Merchandise.
Youll be:
Managing article creation and updates using SAP
Supporting promotional planning admin and error fixes
Coordinating supplier communications and store queries
Collating competitor insights and category reports
Assisting with annual planning pricing updates and circular proofing

Youre highly organised people-focused and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Youre proactive have strong attention to detail and love supporting a team to achieve great outcomes.
Heres what youll bring:
Previous experience in Bakery Fresh or FMCG preferred
Strong admin and coordination skills with great attention to detail
SAP and/or Nielsen experience is a bonus
Comfortable working with data and Excel
Collaborative friendly and ready to learn
