Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static Equipment)


Location:
Oslo (Hybrid or Remote considered)
Contract Duration:
Initial 3 months (with strong potential for extension)
Start Date:
Immediate preferred

Job Overview:

Our client a leading organization in the Oil & Gas sector is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in static equipment to support a major EPC tender. This is a critical role requiring an experienced professional who can contribute immediately and effectively. The contract is initially for 3 months but there is a high likelihood of long-term extension based on project demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee mechanical engineering aspects related to static equipment for a major EPC tender.
  • Provide technical expertise in the design specification and procurement of pressure vessels heat exchangers tanks and other static equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards project requirements and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Review and approve technical documentation specifications and drawings.
  • Support cost estimation risk assessments and feasibility studies related to static equipment.
  • Interface with vendors clients and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Extensive expertise in static equipment engineering including design selection and analysis.
  • Previous experience with reputed EPC companies is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards (e.g. ASME API ISO).
  • Experience in EPC tendering including bid preparation and technical evaluations.
  • Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
