About the job

Lead the charge in digital content SEO strategy and CRO driving organic growth team excellence and performance optimization for a seamless omnichannel experience.

As the Head of Digital Content SEO and CRO you will lead the strategic direction and operational execution of MediaMarkt Beneluxs digital content SEO initiatives anddrive conversion rate optimization (CRO) for MediaMarkt Benelux. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our online presence driving organic traffic and ensuring exceptional user experiences across all digital touchpoints. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams you will position MediaMarkt Benelux as the go-to destination for consumer electronics in the region. Its you responsibility to oversee the creation optimization and distribution of high-quality engaging content across all digital platforms (website App blog social media etc.) and to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines SEO objectives and customer needs. Furthermore you ensure proper integration of digital content in the customers omnichannel journey and drive localization efforts for the Benelux market ensuring relevance in Dutch Belgian and Luxembourgish markets.You will lead and inspire a team of CRO specialists to deliver a seamless online shopping experience ensuring it meets current and future business needs. Next to that you will be driving theintegration of new technologies tools and features to enhance the shopping experience.This challenging new position will ask a lot of you and our environment is high paced and complex.   • Define and implement a comprehensive digital content and SEO strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive organic growth through innovative content marketing initiatives and best-in-class SEO practices.
  • Analyze market trends customer behavior and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Build mentor and lead a high-performing team of digital content creators SEO specialists and external agency partners.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration creativity and data-driven decision-making.
  • Own technical and on-page SEO strategies ensuring the website architecture supports organic search performance.
  • Implement and monitor SEO performance metrics using insights to optimize content and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with central SEO and web development teams to ensure SEO best practices are embedded in website updates and redesigns.
  • Continuously improve user journeys conversion rates and engagement through A/B testing and UX enhancements.
  • Work closely with e-commerce CRM and paid media teams to create an integrated digital marketing approach.
  • Partner with category managers to highlight key offerings through content and SEO strategies.

Who are you

To be successful in this position we believe you need the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing Communications Business or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams. Ability to manage a team of 20 andexternal agencies.
  • Extensive experience in digital content management and improving SEO performance preferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • Extensive experience in e-commerce management with a strong focus on customer journey improvement.
  • Proven track record of driving conversion rate optimization (CRO) and increasing online sales.
  • Expertise in e-commerce tools and analytics software (e.g. ContentSquare Google Analytics).
  • Expertise in SEO tools (e.g. SEMrush Ahrefs Screaming Frog) and web analytics platforms (Google Analytics).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.

For us a plus will be:

  • Ability to communicatein French.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry or a similar fast-paced retail environment.
  • Knowledge of UX principles and A/B testing methodologies.
