About the role
TNANetherlands located in Woerden is looking for aMechanical Engineer Projects. In this role you are responsible for engineering of customer specific processing solutions by delivering a complete production dossier comprising 2D / 3D CAD documentation specifications.
Main responsibilities
- Conduct R&D and engineering tasks independently and as part of a project team;
- Important contribution to the redesign of product groups;
- Produce drawings and BOMs and use relevant calculations to support design decisions;
- Order execution for customer orders;
- Elaborate (generic) parametric 3D CAD structure for standardized delivery so that it can be used to efficiently develop customer-specific solutions;
- Analyse design and implement efficiency measures and introduce continuous improvement initiatives involved in parametric engineering;
- Applying strong technical business acumen to encourage initiatives for improvement;
- Possible brief visits abroad as required.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering degree (or level acquired through -practical-experience).
Work Experience
- 5-10 years experience in a similar role preferably gained in a machine manufacturing company in the food industry;
- Knowledge of different food production methods and material applications;
- Familiar with applicable legal regulations machinery directive hygienic design & CE standards.
Skills & Abilities
- Solid 3D design engineering skills with a focus on innovation;
- Knowledge of general dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T);
- Proficiency in Inventor and Vault is a plus;
- Pragmatic approach to solving complex problems;
- Handson;
- Lots of practical knowledge;
- Interpersonal communication;
- Planning and coordination skills;
- Accuracy to do quality checks and sample checks of production deliverables;
- Fluency in (Dutch) and English; oral and written is a must!
- Ability to work in a global team and different cultures;
