Job Description
Reports to:Partner in Charge
Description:Assists with the day-to-day litigation & IP matters in Dispute Resolution & Intellectual Property practice group.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Undertake necessary legal research and provide legal support to lawyers and partners in the dispute resolution/Intellectual property practice group.
- Assist to translate court documents from English to Malay and vice versa.
- Assist with preparation of cause papers affidavits applications to court and/or legal submissions.
- Responsible for preparing compiling and coordinating submission and filing of relevant court documents.
- Drafting/preparing commercial agreements.
- Assist to manage litigation/IP files.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of Bachelor of Law (LLB)
- Prior litigation experience will be an advantage.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Proactive resourceful and able to work independently and as a team
