Position Overview
As the Sales Manager - Ecommerce & Retail you will support McCormicks online & offline growth within India with a focus on Ecommerce accounts and Supermarkets & Hypermarkets retailers. This role will be responsible for driving sales managing distributor relationships optimizing product content and executing channel-specific strategies to maximize visibility and conversion across online and offline platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Channel Management
Drive revenue growth across Ecommerce platforms and Retail outlets (Modern Trade & Regional Modern Trade).
Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to each channel ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Manage distributor relationships for both Ecommerce and Retail channels ensuring smooth operations timely deliveries and inventory optimization.
Monitor and analyze sales performance market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Ecommerce Channel Execution
Lead product content development optimization and deployment across retailer websites to ensure a best-in-class digital shelf experience.
Audit ecommerce platforms for content integrity completeness and SEO optimization.
Execute new item setup and ensure timely launch of new products in coordination with inventory availability.
Optimize product listings for Share of Voice and Rankings using keyword research SEM SEO and digital marketing tactics.
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing supply chain finance) and external partners to ensure seamless execution of ecommerce initiatives.
Retail Channel Execution
Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and regional modern trade outlets.
Oversee in-store execution including planogram compliance promotional displays and merchandising.
Coordinate with distributors and field sales teams to ensure product availability and visibility at retail touchpoints.
Drive retail media investments and supervise creative briefs for in-store promotions and campaigns.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with marketing supply chain and finance teams to align on forecasts promotions and product launches.
Partner with digital and trade marketing teams to develop and execute channel-specific campaigns.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in business Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
58 years of experience in Sales preferably in FMCG/Consumer Goods with exposure to Ecommerce and Modern Trade.
Strong understanding of digital marketing SEO/SEM and ecommerce platforms.
Proven track record of managing distributor relationships and driving channel growth.
Excellent communication negotiation and analytical skills.
