Educational Qualifications:
Mandatory: B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
Preferred: M.E / M. Tech in Design Engineering CAD/CAM Thermal Engineering Heat & Mass Transfer Tribology Fluid Mechanics or Applied Mechanics
The Product Development / Subsystems Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of new parts and subsystems and their integration into oil-free screw compressor products. The role involves conceptualization design improvement problem-solving design verification and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of designs.
Key Responsibilities:Concept development design and integration of mechanical components and subsystems into complete product architecture.
Perform design calculations simulation and analysis related to mechanical parts assemblies and product integration.
Create 3D models and 2D detailed drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks Creo NX etc.) ensuring compliance with GD&T standards.
Conduct design reviews ensuring alignment with design guidelines industry standards and internal checklists.
Document and maintain design reviews and technical reports for future reference and audits.
Ensure compliance with design and manufacturing processes including:
DFMEA Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
DFM Design for Manufacturing
DFA Design for Assembly
DFS Design for Serviceability
Collaborate with manufacturing quality procurement and testing teams for smooth product development and launch.
Support change management by implementing engineering change requests (ECR/ECO) and managing design iterations.
Ensure timely delivery of design deliverables and participate in project planning & tracking.
Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering concepts strength of materials thermodynamics fluid mechanics etc.
Hands-on experience with CAD software (e.g. Creo SolidWorks CATIA NX).
Good understanding of GD&T tolerances and engineering drawing standards.
Exposure to FEA tools and basic simulation (ANSYS Abaqus etc.) is a plus.
Working knowledge of PLM systems and documentation practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
2 5 years of experience in mechanical product development preferably in compressors pumps engines or rotating machinery.
Experience in oil-free screw technology tribology or thermal systems is highly desirable.
