This role sits in the Language Assets team within Translation Services Operations. The Terminology Project Manager has extensive project management experience organization and attention to detail and excellent communication to manage multiple relationships with colleagues external partners and other stakeholders.
The Project Manager is extremely familiar with the concepts of Translation Memories (TM) Term Bases (TB) and Style Guides (SG) and understands how they can be leveraged to improve translation quality and MT/LLMs. The candidate will possess the ability to complete a high volume of tasks with minimal guidance or supervision and will be comfortable in finding solutions to make the best use of the technical tooling.
The candidate will be comfortable working in an international fast-paced environment where change and ambiguity are present as we constantly grow improve and innovate.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage tickets queue to perform TM updates requested by stakeholders
- Coordinate transcreation tasks with our linguistic team ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders
- Coordinate with language service providers to process TB terms and ensure a smooth delivery
- Assets creation and comparison to ensure alignment across all databases
- Perform manual TM clean-ups and support automations development
- Maintain and optimize team communication channels through regular newsletter creation wiki pages updates and other internal documentation
- Experience with TB TM and SG
- Fully fluent in both oral and written English
- Bachelors degree in one of the following fields: Applied Languages Language and Technology Linguistics or similar (Masters degree preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (macros VLOOKUP pivots)
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- A great deal of personal initiative decisiveness and independence
- Strong communication and exceptional collaboration skills
- Flexibility proven ability to prioritize and work towards deadlines
- Previous experience in project/program management is a great advantage
- Additional languages knowledge
- Experience with MT LLM and Annotations
- Strong working knowledge of CAT tools
- Mark-up language skills experience working with UI strings and e-learning content
- Ability to make logical decisions while performing tasks even when provided information is ambiguous
