Job Summary:
To lead a team of engineers to develop new products and ensure that they are manufactured in accordance with quality standards.
Work closely with other departments such as marketing sales and production to ensure that product requirements are met.
Provide technical support to customers when needed.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop new products based on customer specifications or internal needs.
Conduct feasibility studies and analyze costs to determine if proposed projects can be implemented within budget constraints.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential issues during development stages and propose solutions accordingly.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations throughout the entire process from design through testing phases.
Assist in troubleshooting problems encountered during manufacturing stage.
Perform tests on finished products to verify their performance against specified parameters.
Document all stages of product development including test results for future reference purposes.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
At least five years of experience working in a similar role required.
Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes essential.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal necessary.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications preferred but not mandatory.
