The teams effort to reduce bottom line/managing supplier relationship and ensuring timely delivery of tools in a sustainable fashion ensures our factories have sufficient capacity to meet all Dysons manufacturing needs.
Secure best-cost solutions for each project through competitive bidding and strong understanding of technical requirements.
Provide accurate CAPEX budgets for assigned projects.
Execute the RFx process in alignment with the approved category procurement strategy.
Ensure timely project awarding to enable on-time project delivery.
Engage and align with internal stakeholders to understand technical needs project priorities and CAPEX funding requirements.
Build and maintain robust partnerships with key suppliers to stay abreast of capabilities capacity and technology developments relevant to Dysons needs.
Provide procurement support for business-critical projects and initiatives.
This role also ensures purchase requests meet company standards effectively collaborates with engineering to understand technical requirements maintains and updates purchase orders and related documentation monitors contract performance and metrics and supports additional projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will thrive working autonomously while demonstrating a meticulous approach to cost breakdowns and supplier negotiations to drive bottom-line reduction.
Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement role preferable with exposure to Tooling procurement and have knowledge of tool makers in the region. SAP Ariba knowledge is a plus.
As a member of the Global Equipment Procurement team this role is responsible for sourcing Plastic Tooling and related CAPEX purchases that support Dysons manufacturing plans.
The position partners closely with internal stakeholders to provide accurate cost estimates at the project initiation stage manages the RFx process and negotiations with approved suppliers to achieve cost savings and recommends tooling awards based on TQRDC (Total Quality Reliability Delivery and Cost) criteria and cross-functional alignment.
