We are seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Manager of Product Management to lead a team of talented Product Managers responsible for a critical suite of platform services that power our global e-commerce experience. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of data-driven product development exceptional analytical abilities and a passion for building scalable and efficient systems. You will guide your team in optimizing key customer-facing and internal operational platforms driving improvements in user experience operational efficiency and overall business performance.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead mentor and develop a team of Product Managers responsible for various platform services including shopping cart wishlist promotion manager backend discount logic global logistics system customer service agent portal RMA module account module internal transactional messaging external marketing messaging and customer data platform etc
Foster a data-informed culture within the team encouraging the use of analytics to drive product decisions.
Set clear objectives provide regular feedback and conduct performance reviews for team members.
Strategic Product Vision and Roadmap:
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to define the strategic vision and roadmap for the platform services under your purview.
Ensure alignment of individual product roadmaps with the overall business strategy and technical architecture.
Prioritize initiatives based on data analysis potential impact and resource availability.
Data-Driven Product Management:
Drive a strong data analytics focus within the product team. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all platform services.
Lead the team in conducting in-depth data analysis of user behavior system performance and business outcomes to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
Establish and champion A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of product changes.
Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to communicate insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ensure the team leverages data from the Customer Data Platform (CDP) and other sources to personalize experiences and improve targeting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering design marketing customer service and other relevant teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
Facilitate clear communication and collaboration across teams to resolve dependencies and ensure alignment.
Platform Optimization and Scalability:
Oversee the continuous optimization of platform services to improve performance reliability and scalability.
Ensure the team considers the global implications of their product decisions and designs for internationalization and localization.
Stakeholder Management:
Effectively communicate product vision strategy and progress to stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
Manage expectations and address concerns proactively.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Business Analytics or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
Proven experience in product management with a significant focus on data analysis and platform services in an e-commerce environment.
Demonstrable expertise in leveraging data analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics data visualization platforms like Tableau) to drive product decisions and measure success.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing product teams.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong understanding of e-commerce principles customer journeys and operational workflows.
Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic and global environment.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).
Familiarity with global logistics and supply chain processes.
Understanding of CRM and customer engagement platforms.
