You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSt Pauls School is seeking a talented and dedicated freelance Violin and Cello Teacher to deliver high-quality individual instrumental lessons to pupils across both the Junior and Senior Schools. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant and diverse music department supporting pupils in their musical development and performance opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual violin and/or cello lessons to pupils from Junior and Senior School.
Prepare students for London College of Music (LCM) examinations.
Support and prepare students for school concerts recitals and other performances.
Arrange lesson schedules and collect payments directly from parents.
Maintain clear and professional communication with parents and school staff.
Follow all relevant school policies including safeguarding and wellbeing protocols.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Desirable Skills:
Ability to rehearse and conduct an orchestra or small ensemble.
Communication skills in English.
Passion for music education and student development.
Exact timetable of hours needed to be confirmed. This is a contractor position (prestao de servio) and is therefore only available to non-staff members to St. Pauls ensure entire application is completed in English.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree or higher-level qualification in Music or in violin/cello performance.
Proven experience teaching pupils of diverse age ranges in a school setting.
Familiarity with music exam boards particularly LCM.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Additional Information:
This is a freelance position; the teacher will be responsible for managing their own schedule and invoicing.
Lessons will take place on-site at St Pauls School.
The teacher must comply with all school policies and procedures including those related to child protection and wellbeing.
