In this position you will partner with Apple teams Apple suppliers and outside technology companies to identify and develop the technologies needed to decarbonize materials. These decarbonization opportunities will be identified by using lifecycle assessment techniques coupled with an understanding of Apple materials products and supply chains. BS/MS/PhD in Materials Science Chemical Engineering Metallurgical Engineering
Minimum 3 years experience in relevant industry
High attention to detail fastidious management of large quantities of details solution-driven mindset to manage projects to successful completion
Demonstrated ability to independently drive multiple projects setting priorities and deliver results
Effective written and verbal communication skills providing technical expertise and updates on project milestones
Strong materials fundamentals in extractive metallurgy and process-structure-properties-performance relationships
Knowledge of lifecycle assessment (LCA) methods industrial ecology and carbon foot-printing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to use statistical tools and techniques
Experience in metal production technology or process development (e.g. beneficiation smelting refining recycling)
Experience conducting or interpreting lifecycle assessments for carbon foot-printing purposes
