Mott MacDonald is a global engineering management and development consultancy focused on guiding our clients through many of the planets most intricate challenges. We are looking for collaborative and passionate interns to join our paid Internship Program for 2025 in Singapore. This is a 20 week internship program starting from January onwards. This is your opportunity to gain valuable experience in a consultancy that will provide you with a platform to tap into expertise across the globe and give you the hands-on experience to make a difference in the communities that we live and work in. The programme will provide you with invaluable networking seminars learning and development opportunities.

Our Intern Program is focused on giving you exposure to our industry and the projects we work on which impact our world. Every day will see you actively engaged with contributing to the success of our global consultancy. You will be supporting with the planning and delivery of projects engaging with clients developing your skills assisting with bids and proposals and working as part of an experienced team.

Some of your duties include:

1. Engineering analysis/design/modelling & preparation of calculations.

2. Involvement with BIM/digital & computational design & modelling tools.

3. Coordinating within different engineering disciplines and sectors.


About You

We are looking for students enrolled in their penultimate or final year in the relevant bachelors have a desire to make a difference in the world and share the values we believe in. We would love for you to be a collaborative person who has a hands-on approach to problem-solving and is interested in upskilling or passionate about digital tools and design.

We are looking for passionate interns to join us as a Mechanical Engineer - Intern in our Buildings market in Singapore. This is your opportunity to gain valuable experience in a consultancy that will provide you with a platform to tap into expertise across the globe and give you the hands-on experience to make a difference in the communities that we live and work in. The programme will provide you with invaluable networking learning and development opportunities.

The internship period is from May to August 2025.

You will be part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team and your job description includes:

  • Engineering analysis detailed design and preparation of engineering calculations (for eg heat-load calculations) using engineering software and Excel.
  • Working on infrastructure and buildings projects (metro lines aviation buildings mixed-used developments instituitional etc).
  • Being involved with BIM tools and automated designs on engineering analysis software (for eg Revit Navisworks etc)
  • Coordinating with and between disciplines

About You:

  • 3rd year student pursuing a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with an interest/specialism in Building Services.
  • Good interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of technical software & coding applications (for eg Python) is an advantage
