Are you looking for a role where you can grow learn and make a real difference Weve got a fantastic opportunity for a smart humble and motivated communications advisor to join our team and help improve outcomes for injured New Zealanders.
Youll be part of a strategic communications and marketing team that values collaboration curiosity and continuous learning. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in communications - perhaps 23 years of experience - whos ready to take the next step and develop their skills further.
As a Communications and Engagement Advisor youll support the delivery of communications and engagement plans and initiatives that enhance the experience of ACC customers. Youll work across teams and channels contributing to meaningful work that builds trust and strengthens organisational performance.
This is a generalist role offering exposure to a wide range of communications and marketing activities. Youll be supported to grow your capability and confidence with opportunities to stretch into new areas over time.
Key accountabilities and outcomes
- Support the development and execution of communications and engagement plans.
- Identify needs and recommend practical audience-focused solutions.
- Create compelling content for internal and external channels including articles social media web and more.
- Contribute to multi-channel campaigns and initiatives that enhance customer experience.
- Ensure all communications align with ACCs strategy brand and values.
- Build and maintain effective relationships across teams and with external partners.
- Provide clear thoughtful advice to project teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to visual storytelling through presentations video content and commissioned collateral.
- Support the use of analytics and feedback to refine communications approaches.
- Manage multiple communications projects from planning to delivery.
- Work within budgets and manage supplier relationships to deliver high-quality cost-effective communications.
- Champion Whia te Tika and support inclusive culturally responsive communications.

Youre a communications professional with a few years of experience ready to take the next step in your career. Youre curious collaborative and keen to grow your skills in a supportive environment.
Youll bring:
- a tertiary qualification in communications marketing or a related field or equivalent experience
- around 23 years of experience in a communications or marketing role
- strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail and tone
- comfort working across digital channels and learning new tools
- a team-oriented mindset with adaptability and a willingness to learn
- good planning and organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- a customer-focused approach and strong collaboration skills
- understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to public service communications.

The appointing salary for this role will sit between$73196 and $94724 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution.
