Social Media Strategist

That is why we are hiring a:

Global Social Media strategist

As a Social Media Strategist at Randstad Global you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our overarching social media vision. This role moves beyond content creation to focus on driving measurable performance fostering innovation and leveraging social channels to achieve core business objectives and brand recognition. You will be at the forefront of understanding the evolving social media landscape translating insights into actionable strategies that scale across our diverse global markets and be a truth partner for our markets.

You will be an integral part of the global attraction & engagement team within Global Marketing collaborating closely with regional marketing leaders and social media colleagues worldwide.

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Organic Performance and Content your responsibilities will include:

Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive performance-driven global social media strategy ensuring scalability across all markets and direct alignment with company brand and marketing objectives.

  • Create dynamic performance blueprints for each social media platform informed by cutting-edge internal and external best practices emerging trends and a deep understanding of algorithm shifts.

  • Define robust Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conduct rigorous analysis of social media metrics to continuously measure and optimize the success of our global strategy focusing on tangible business impact.

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and drive optimization of social media strategies based on meticulous data analysis and a keen sense of curiosity regarding platform evolution.

Content to perform

  • Support the efficiency of content marketing strategies for various social media platforms in a multiformat way working in close collaboration with the global and local content teams.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to source and create high-quality content.

Community Management:

  • Develop strategies to enhance long-term value creation through community engagement fostering deeper relationships with our talent and clients across global and local channels.

  • Support local community management considering AI support and best practices.

Performance management

  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics based on the strategy and KPIs for our global channels and together with the regional marketing leaders align and support the strategy per market.

  • Create an audit mechanism to measure the performance of the channels in the markets supported by the organic performance team

  • Provide regular reports and insights on social media performance to stakeholders.

  • Identify areas for improvement and optimize social media strategies based on data analysis.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate closely with marketing communications and other relevant teams across our regions to ensure social media strategies are seamlessly integrated with broader marketing initiatives and maximize performance.

  • Provide strategic guidance and hands-on support to markets ensuring scalability of initiatives and contributing to overall global growth.

  • Establish a robust audit mechanism to evaluate the performance of channels in supported markets providing actionable insights to regional teams.

  • Deliver regular insightful reports and strategic recommendations on social media performance to key stakeholders.

What makes you a great match

  • Masters level critical thinking and problem-solving skills combining strong analytical rigor with creative foresight.

  • Educational background in New Media Marketing Data or a related field of study.

  • 8 years of progressive professional experience in global social media strategy or within a digital agency environment with a proven track record of driving significant B2C performance.

  • Demonstrable success in developing and scaling social media strategies across multiple international markets.

  • Profound and curious understanding of social media platforms their evolving algorithms and future trends with a passion for staying ahead of the curve.

  • Expertise in leveraging social media for employee advocacy programs is a plus.

  • Deep understanding of how social media performance impacts broader organic performance (SEO content).

  • Proficiency in advanced social media analytics and reporting with the ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights.

  • Practical knowledge of integrated online marketing channels and strategies.

  • Experience with advanced social media management and analytics tools.

  • Familiarity with AI-driven strategies for social media channels.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills adept at influencing and collaborating across diverse remote and multicultural teams.

  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining a pragmatic hands-on approach when required.

  • Highly curious innovative and customer-focused.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Agency or global work is valued.
