BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVISION:
The new division titled Analysis Planning & Performance is composed of specialized services designed to ensure comprehensive organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The Food Security and Nutrition Analysis Service probes into the critical question of what actions need to be taken to secure food and nutrition. The Programme Budget Management Service handles the strategic aspect of planning and resourcing based on identified needs. The Programme Monitoring and Reporting Service oversees the implementation process ensuring that plans are followed accurately and goals are met. Underpinning these services is the Research and Knowledge Management Service which is dedicated to the dissemination of cross-cutting evidence research and systems that are essential to maximize efficiency and effectiveness across the division.

- Duration of Assignment: 2 months
- Expected Start Date: 1st September 2025
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational research activities and requirements and contribute to the development of database to maintain these records.
- In partnership with knowledge management colleagues particularly the library identify key research to be included in the updated catalog.
- Based on consultations with colleagues across the WFP identify strategic evidence gaps that should be prioritized within WFPs corporate research agenda.
- Consolidate all of WFPs migration research and develop a two page position paper for senior management review.
UNIVERSITY QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated from graduate programme in International Relations Economics or related field.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English in addition to French or Arabic proficiency.
- Problem solving and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work successfully as part of a multicultural team.
- Strong understanding research methods both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
- Good knowledge of Office 365 tools and Microsoft Teams is a plus.
WORKING LANGUAGES
Excellent written and spoken English is required (proficiency/level C).
SUPERVISION (Level/Methods of Supervision)
The Volunteer will work directly with and report to the Head of the Operational and Thematic Analysis Unit.
