Job Description
Applications are invited for appointment asSenior Lecturer/ Lecturer in theHKUInstitute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality (ICCN) (Ref.: 532736) to commence as soon as possible for one-year temporary contract with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Position Highlights:
Curriculum Design and Teaching: Collaborate with the academic team to develop and deliver engaging course content for our Masters and Executive programs in climate governance and risk management.
External Liaison: Engage with industry partners to enhance career development opportunities for students. Build connections that facilitate internships workshops and networking events.
Event Organization: Plan and execute events that promote ICCNs mission. Support the development of seminars conferences and public outreach initiatives.
Strategic Development Support: Contribute to the strategic planning of ICCN by providing insights into trends in climate research and carbon management practices.
Requirements:
We are seeking passionate and motivated individuals committed to addressing climate change and advancing sustainability. The ideal candidate should possess:
- A strong academic background and relevant experience in environmental science policy or related fields;
- A Masters degree or above in Environmental Management Public Health Climate Risk Management ESG or related discipline;
- At least 3-5 years solid experience in conducting professional training or education;
- Ability to bridge theory and practice by engaging with industry practitioners and academic peers;
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English.
